ABOUT Y7 STUDIO
Y7 Studio is sweat drippin', beat bumpin', candlelit yoga. All studios are heated to 80-90 degrees using state-of-the-art infrared technology, which helps create a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility. In this music-driven practice, you will flow along to tracks ranging from A Tribe Called Quest to Cardi B. Classes are held in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors to encourage you to turn your focus inward and explore your individual practice.
ARE THE CLASSES OPEN-LEVEL?
Y7 WeFlowHard™ vinyasa classes are challenging practices that demand a lot from the body. That being said, we welcome all levels to come and try out a class. Yoga is all about your personal journey on the mat. We have a “do what you can” philosophy. Our teachers will offer modifications and adjustments as needed. Our Slow burn classes are the most accessible to beginners, as they are an intense vinyasa taken at a slower pace, with longer holds and provide more opportunity for teachers to make individual adjustments as needed.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WEFLOWHARD™ VINYASA AND SLOWBURN?
Classes are open to all levels, however the Slow Burn vinyasa format is recommended for anyone looking to focus on the foundation, structure and alignment of each posture. Throughout this practice, you will focus on engaging your core muscles to go deeper into the poses and prepare your mind and body for a challenging peak posture. The Slow Burn vinyasa class is fully-guided by an instructor using verbal cues and omits the Flow On Your Own portion of class.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I GIVE MYSELF BEFORE CLASS TO ARRIVE?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before class to check in, set up your mat, talk with the instructor and prepare yourself for practice. It also gives you a chance to meet other Y7 yogis. Trust us, this tribe is full of awesome people.
DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS?
We have showers at all locations, except at our Flatiron, Meatpacking and Union Square studios. You can reserve a time slot when you arrive at the studio (another reason to get to class 15 minutes before).
All of our studios are also equipped with Refresh Stations.
DO ALL THE CLASSES PLAY HIP-HOP MUSIC?
In this music-driven practice, you will flow along to tracks ranging from A Tribe Called Quest to Diplo.
Each week there will be a new theme for #HipHopWednesdays and #HipHopSundays, announced on instagram at the start of the week. Got a favorite artist you want to hear? Let us know by tagging us on instagram!
Since our Slow Burn classes move more slowly with an emphasis on deeper breaths, the music played reflects the pace of the class.
HOW HOT IS THE ROOM?
Hot enough to make you sweat...a lot.

WHAT DO I NEED?
Your open mind and deep breath. And a yoga mat and towel if you have one. Please bring water with you, as you are sure to sweat!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Comfortable athletic clothes that allow you to flow hard. No shoes or socks inside of the yoga room. Extra points if you wear Y7 swag.
DO YOU RENT MATS AND TOWELS?
For you? Of course! We have mats ($2) and towels ($3) for rent and Fiji water ($2) for sale.
IS IT SAFE TO PRACTICE EVERYDAY?
This practice helps you to develop body awareness. If your practice is feeling strong, come as much as you like. The important thing is to give yourself one day of rest for your muscles to recover. Our practices are demanding on the body and make your muscles work, so be sure to listen to your body and take a rest when you need it.
Also, be sure to drink plenty of water before and after practice. We recommend at least 32 oz. an hour before class.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
In order to give everyone a chance to flow, we require notice of cancellation 12 hours or more prior to class start time in order to unreserve your spot and return it to your account. For more on our policies, please visit www.y7-studio.com/policies.
CAN I SHARE CLASS PACKAGES?
While we want you to flow with your friends, Class Packages, Unlimited Memberships and Workshops are limited to one person per package and are non-transferable.
DO YOU ALLOW DROP-INS?
Of course. We do recommend signing up in advance especially for evening and weekend classes, as these tend to fill up quickly.
HOW DO I BECOME A YOGA INSTRUCTOR?
We offer a 200-hour and 300-hour Teacher Training that strictly adhere's to Yoga Alliance's guidelines for certification. Our program will give you the tools needed to become a yoga instructor, or if you just are looking to deepen your knowledge of yoga.
