Y7 IS COMMITTED TO MAKING LASTING CHANGES TOWARDS RACIAL + SOCIAL EQUITY IN THE FITNESS SPACE.
TEACHER TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS
Y7 is proud to offer full scholarship opportunities for BIPOC folx for our 200-hour teacher training and continuing education modules. Scholarships are available to those who are involved in service within their community or have contributed to their community in a significant way, and will continue to share the practice of yoga through teaching.
We know that representation matters, and that more diversity in instructors will encourage a more diverse community. Access to the practice of yoga is just as important in fighting systemic inequity within the wellness and fitness industry.

Music is what brings us to the mat. The beat drives our breath, the melody motivates us to keep going, to keep pushing when that pose starts to get tough.
Each month Y7 will be spotlighting an up and coming artist of color chosen by a member of our team. By giving agency to our team in leading these decisions, they’ll have ownership in what artists and organizations we support, and will ensure an authentic connection between the instructor and the music. During this time you will hear the artists music throughout the studio spaces and in class. We have dedicated classes that amplify the artist and a charitable cause close to their heart, the proceeds from those classes will be donated directly to that organization.
Get to know the artists each week on social media. Who they are, where they get their inspiration, and causes they care about.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY + INCLUSION
Representation and diversity within our team is at the forefront of who we are. In 2018 we began our company wide work with experts in the space. Since then we have expanded on what DE&I looks like at Y7 and have implemented our Beyond the Mat programming for all levels of the organization. Employees must see reflections of themselves across all departments and levels at Y7. We are committed to using our platform to listen to and amplify voices of those who have been long silenced, while also challenging the rest of our community.
FREEDOM TO FLOW
To truly make yoga accessible, our mission goes beyond the studio walls. In 2018, we launched Y7’s Freedom to Flow. A community outreach program that brings yoga and mindfulness to youth in underserved communities. Our goal is to break down some of the misconceptions around yoga and provide students with tools to apply these practices in their everyday lives. We believe that education is how you create change and encourage open conversation.
WHO WE ARE
Y7 IS SWEAT DRIPPING, BEAT BUMPING, CANDLELIT YOGA.
Classes are paced to the beat of the music to drive the breath, with tracks from varied artists and genres. We practice in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors to encourage you to turn your focus inward and explore your individual practice. We Flow Together, We Flow Hard.
