Hometown: NY, NY
On weekends I can be found: "Rollin down the street eating kale chips sippin on a big green juice :)" All of that in addition to reading, browsing Strand's books, sitting in the sun (I need it), eating anything vegan, learning sign language, dancing and doing anything that challenges me physically and mentally.
Favorite movie: A Cinderella Man, a beautiful film about the resilience of the human spirit.
Favorite time of the day to get your practice in: Usually, in the morning so I can start my day on the right foot (pun intended) but I love to practice anytime I have a free hour to reenergize, to recalibrate and to celebrate my body!
Quote: "At the moment of commitment, the universe conspires to assist you."- Goethe
Personal Mantra: "I am enough." It's so important to recognize that.
Dream Vacation: United Republic of Tanzania, East Africa. I want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Favorite Post Yoga Snack: Apples with Almond Butter or an Acaii Bowl!
How Did You Get Into Yoga: Yoga found me. I'm a dancer and I feel that it's a natural progression to find alternative ways to move. However, at a young age my dad felt that I was showing the signs of what it means to be a stressed out native New Yorker. He suggested I take a yoga class at the Himalayan Institute. I never made it to the Himalayan Institute, but at the age of fifteen found myself taking six classes a week around the city. At eighteen, I did my teacher training. Now, many years later it's my life.
