Hometown? Poconos, Pennsylvania.
Favorite music artist or band? It's so hard to pick just one. Chance, Drake, Beyoncé, Kendrick etc. I'm into variety.
Dream vacation? I have so many places still left to explore & my dream would to be to have the time to see all of them: Southeast Asia, South Africa, Greece, Peru are all on my short list.
Favorite post yoga snack? A smoothie from Liquiteria. Coffee & Cacao with kale is my go to. Or make at home avocado toast on Ezekiel bread.
A quote you love? "Be in fearless pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."
Personal mantra? "Let Go" So often we hold onto things that aren't serving us whether it's worrying about things we can't control or anticipating what's ahead of us. It's something I'm always working on.
How did you get into yoga? I had tried yoga in college but didn't stick with it until afterwards. Once I moved to NYC 4 years ago, I joined Classpass (I am a bit of a class junkie) and tried a lot of yoga classes including Y7. What drew me to yoga over other workouts was the combination of the mental and physical work. I noticed I was becoming physically stronger but also was a centered & authentic version of myself. This is what I want to share with my students. Yes - we are going to physically push ourselves. But also you're going to get the mental and emotional benefits that you may not have even known you could have from the practice.
Favorite time of day to get your practice in? First thing in the morning. It helps me to spark so much energy and positivity that I carry throughout my entire day.
What's your favorite part of Y7? I really love everything...the people, the darkness, the heat, the music, & the sense of community but at the same time the deep internal practice that you experience in each class.
