Hometown: Santa Monica, California

Favorite music artist or band: Hard question!! In terms of rap, it's a tie between Childish Gambino/Chance the Rapper/Kanye (at least right now). They are all honest, clever writers and I love how they add orchestrations to a lot of their songs. When I'm not listening to rap, I've got classic rock/folk from the 60's and 70's in my earbuds. Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, CSNY, and more. I love good songwriting, and those decades birthed so many sick artists.

Dream Vacation: A beach somewhere in Southeast Asia where I can practice yoga, swim and drink smoothies all day long. Ahhhhh!

Favorite Post Yoga Snack: Nurse Ginger Green smoothie from Juice Press. I consume (at least) 7 of these a week.

A Quote You Love: Pema Chodron is my GIRL (if you don't know her look her up!!). She has so many quotes I love, but my current fav is this one: "Feelings like disappointment, embarrassment, irritation, resentment, anger, jealousy, and fear, instead of being bad news, are actually very clear moments that teach us where we are holding back. They teach us to perk up and lean in when we feel we'd rather collapse or back away. They're like messengers that show us, with terrifying clarity, exactly where we are stuck. This very moment is the perfect teacher, and lucky for us, it's with us wherever we are."

A Personal Mantra: My mind has the potential to move very quickly -- I'm always reminding myself to stop and breathe. It's amazing what a few moments of focused breath can do to ease the mental chatter.

How Did You Get Into Yoga: My dad gave me a Rodney Yee DVD when I was little (and doing really poorly on my soccer team...)The rest was history! I fell in love!

Favorite Time of Day to Get Your Practice In: Morning, for sure. I'm a weirdo and usually get up before the sun rises. If I can practice before breakfast, I'm a happy camper.

What's Your Favorite Part of Y7: I'm a born and bred y7-er! I did my 200 hour and mentorship here and am beyond in love with all of my teachers. Everyone who works for the company is so committed to living a yogic life and being a part of our staff/family. I'm inspired by my colleagues, our amazing students and our growing community every day!
