Hometown: Chicago IL

Favorite Music Artist or Band: Stevie Wonder and Prince...no doubt.

On weekends you can be found: Practicing, Teaching, or if I'm SUPER lucky catching up on TV with my hubby!

Favorite movie of all time:  Rudy... I mean, when they all put the jerseys on the desk????  forget about it.

Favorite time of day to get your practice in? Either first thing, or last thing.  It can either set me up for an amazing day, or wind me down for a chill night

Dream vacation: Hawaii...again.

Favorite yoga pose: Eka Pada Galavasana... I love the feeling of complete strength and complete weightlessness all wrapped in one asana.

Favorite post yoga snack: Green Smoothie (kale, spinach, cantaloupe, protein) and hot tea

How did you get into yoga? I was doing a show in Portland and wandered into the yoga studio across the street from my stage door and was hooked instantly.

What was your first class like?  It was amazing.  I've always been super aware of staying in shape as a dancer, but this was a whole different thing.  I was toning myself from the inside out.  And I loved every minute of it.

A quote you love?  "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us" _Marianne Williamson

Book recommendation for other yogi's:  A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

Your personal mantra is... Everything happens for a reason.

What's your favorite part of Y7? the music... Music evokes so much emotion in me, and I love that it plays such an integral part in the y7 experience.  It doesn't matter if you are the most advanced yogi, or have never even heard of a downward dog, what music can do to us takes us to a place far beyond a physical sequence...with the music it becomes a personal experience.
